Verse of the Day

Bible Gateway's Verse of the Day
A daily word of exultation.
  • Matthew 5:43-45
“[Love for Enemies] “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

 Rev. George R. Miller

Pastor George R. Miller

Pastor Miller has served the Lord in pastoral ministry for 35 years since his graduation from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA in 1975, (now known as Palmer Theological Seminary). He has served churches in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Ohio.

Pastor Miller believes and preaches the sufficiency of Jesus Christ for all of life, and in the trustworthiness of the Scriptures. He teaches that the mission of the Church today has not changed over the years, even though the methodology of achieving that mission has. The Scriptural mandate for the Church is simply stated but can only be achieved in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Church exists to make disciples for Jesus Christ, teaching them how to live in a personal relationship with God, to follow His principles for interpersonal relationships, and how to live in harmony with one another and the environment in which we live. The role of the pastor is to be the equipper/teacher and shepherd of the congregation.

Pastor Miller is married to Martha (Marty) and they have three children: Joel, Andrew, and Christine.
